Rimmel Mascara and NARS Orgasm (picture heavy)

So here's my ultimate tiny haul that I just got today:

2 very lovable awesome items.

1) Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara in Black Black #101 $2.37 at Target (awesome price!)

2) NARS Orgasm $25 at Sephora. My most expensive item EVER in my makeup stash

I added TONS of pictures for y'all! I gave more of a ”picture-review” for the Rimmel mascara. And let me tell you how much i LOVE the curl power of this mascara. After curling my eyelashes the first time, I NEVER NEVER NEVER had to recurl EVER after I applied 1st coat, 2nd coat, AND after 6 coats. NEVER. Usually I have to recurl with my fingers after using a mascara, but OMG I didn't have to recurl once. (okay i lied. it did de-curl slightly, but it is so slight that you do NOT have to recurl your lashes)HOWEVER, this is the very first time I used this, so I have got no clue how this mascara will behave in the long run, but for the first time using it, and at ONLY $2.37, I absolutely love it. :) .

Just like it says on the package, it gives you a natural look the first time, and you have to apply lots of coats after to get a more dramatic look. But let me warn you, if y'all don't like having a natural-build-to-dramatic type of mascara, then this isn't for you. And even when I build my lashes to dramatic, it won't give you super extreme false eyelashes, but I like it like that, and it's my personal preference that I don't get super heavy lashes at the end. Also, it doesn't give you brittle lashes, but not super soft lashes either. But it does head towards the soft-lashes area. After you apply the mascara onto your lashes and it dries, and if you feel your lashes, it feels ”dry-ish”. There's no glossy feeling or hard-feeling to it.The lashes are flexible and still holds its shape. Since like I said, I haven't had this in the long run, I don't know how long this mascara lasts throughout the day and I do not know if it smudges or not.

This mascara is not a pain to remove. I use Pond's Cold Cream and it removes this stuff easily, but I use the cold cream really gently on my eye area. No eyelashes fell out, so that's good. I combed my eyelashes at the 4th coat ish. It did started slightly clumping at the 3rd coat, but the clumps are more prominant in the 4th, but the clumps really aren't horrible clumps at all honestly, and this is coming from a super picky person. I just waited until the coat dried, which didn't take long, and it was a quick comb through. It isn't one of those situations where you have to stand there all day combing making sure everything is right. After maybe 3-4 quick comb throughs, your clumps are gone and you can continue with more coats if you want.

And I bought NARS Orgasm, the blush I have been wanting to get and drooling over and I LOVE IT! But now my poor Visa gift card is all used up thanks to this pricey $25 blush, but I love the product nevertheless.

Lots of pictures after the jump :)

RIMMEL EXTRA SUPER LASH MASCARA

the packaging

ingredients list for those who need it. And whoo hoo! it DOES NOT have sulfa! So it's safe for me to use :)

1 coat. As you can see, 1st coat is a very natural look. And examine how this mascara totally did not un-curl ANY of my lashes. UNCOMBED lashes

2 coats UNCOMBED lashes

4 coats COMBED only a few times (the combing for this mascara is easy! it isn't the type where the combing messes things up) It starts to clump on the 4th coat, thats why I combed my lashes.

5 coats COMBED lashes

5 coats COMBED lashes

5 coats COMBED

6 coats RE-COMBED (just an extra light coat after the 5th)

in my hand

here's a close up picture to show y'all what it exactly looks like right when you take the wand out of the tube. Yes, you do have to dab off the goop at the end. That's one thing I don't like about this mascara though.

NARS ORGASM

with flash

hope that helps some of y'all. :) I definitely will repurchase this mascara. And dangit, I completely forgot to pick up Birthday Suit lipstick cuz I was rushing :( I'll have to get it another time.

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: I did a extra review on MUA about this mascara if y'all want to take a look at it. I only gave this mascara a 3 because it couldn't build to a dramatic look effectively and it clumps in the process. I personally would like to have a mascara that I don't have to use a comb in any occasion. Although I didn't think the clumps were outrageously horrible, I agree with y'all that it isn't that great of a look to carry out, and I usually don't like wearing a thick of mascara in general. Just showing yall what different coats looks like with this mascara because most people don't do that in mascara reviews. But on a scale to rank this with other "natural-lash-mascaras", I'd say I'd give this a freakin 5 out of 5 for giving an effective, defined, non-clumped natural lashes.

    Hi everybody!
I'm just here to provide an in-depth review of NYX Doll Eye Mascara Volume because I haven't seen any in-depth review of the mascara anywhere.

    Hey yall!
I really liked this look in person, but dangit, the stupid camera, and the room lighting, totally did not make the blue stand out :( . that really made me sad since when you see me in person, this look looked nice, but in the picture, it...

your lashes look great! i love NARS. i have the entire "orgasm" line, including the laguna/orgasm duo. the nars multiple in orgasm is a good cream blush, but it looks terrible on the lips. best to use the lip gloss for that. it's really easy to spend a lot of money at sephora, but it's so fun..! the mascara look really good for the price. I'd probably stop at 2nd coat, where it looks very natural, just define the lashes a bit enough to see it. the comb is not the type i like, its the spiral type, which usually make my lashes uncurled cause they are wetter material i guess you could say, but if it's 2-3 dollars, it's worth a try.

are there any mascaras that you don't have to "dab off the goop" for? haha. i guess for the ones i use, i don't have to dab it off, but sometimes i do just because i have OCD like that.

personally i think the mascara is okay until the third coat.. it just looks clumpy, even after you brushed it :/ what mascara were you using before super-lash?

i think there was a blush reviewed somewhere on this site that was supposed to be basically the dupe of nars oragasm (but it looked lighter in the container), but it was $17? $18? i'm not sure... you should check it out though!

    Yumeko and Revoltaire:

Yea thats why I tried it. It was only $2.37 and I thought, hey, if it's bad, I don't feel that bad cuz it's so cheap. I honestly would stop at 2nd coat too, i'm not gonna lie haha. I went to many coats to let all ABBers know what this mascara looks like after that many coats because this mascara said that it's natural-build-to-dramatic and I want to let people know the results before buying it, even if it is cheap. Most people just stop at a certain point, but I know there are some people out there who love to put on coat after coat, and I want to show people what it looks like with this mascara. I never put on 5 coats with any mascara so it does get clumpy on me, but thats when you zoom in with a camera like I did. If you see it from in front of me in person, it isn't that bad.

And I was using Full N Soft from maybelline before this, and I did buy it at the Target for $2 off :D just in case I didn't like the rimmel, I'd have my original to back me up, and thank god I did buy it for back up! :) (cuz i'm gonna use it XD)

and the blush dupe was Urban Decay in Score for like...$15 or so, but I just went ahead and dove in for the real thing before it will bother me in not having the real thing. I always buy things cheaply and non-high end brand, so i thought, why not, my first official non-freebee real high end makeup :)

oh btw, I more emphasized in this post the fact that it has good curling power, not separation or length. I said that the clump wasn't that bad (we all know how bad clumps can get to the point where we've got like only 3 lashes after it), and it really isn't that horrible. I guess it's personal preference?

    Kristy:

go ahead and go to Sephora to test it out. I tested this blush out like 4 times before I decided that I really wanted to buy it. I looked everywhere online for dupes, but after looking swatches after swatches, like 99% of them have a certain pinch to it that makes it look completely different from NARS Orgasm, which made me go away from dupes. I even ordered a sample of Silk Natural's Climax, which is the dupe for NARS O, but I swatched it out on my arm over concealer, and it still isn't a good dupe =/. The dupes just...aren't dupes haha, so that's what motivated me to get the real thing. If you can deal with a shade or two different than the real nars, then you can go for the dupes if you want.
