When are you supposed to start using anti aging creams?

    I recently read that once you turn 18 your skin starts to age and instead of renewing as they did when you were a kid, most of your skin cells begin to die off without any new ones forming...and thus starts the aging process.

    So if our skin starts to age at 18, wouldn't it make sens to start using eye creams and anti wrinkle serums early? It's easier to prevent those things than start on a program once you have wrinkles and crows feet.

    I'm not neccesarily saying I'm worried about getting wrinkles just yet..they happen, but Im just wondering. When is the right time to start using preventative serums and creams? Isn't it better to start before it's "too late"

    I know! that's what I though about too, but everyone was always like, don't use it too soon or you'll get wrinkles, but now i'm 18 with wrinkles already and I haven't been using anti aging stuff yet...

    actually .. i do have friends around 19-22 using anti-wrinkle cream~
    but im not really sure about when should a person really use it.
    Hmm...but i've also heard that we shouldnt use items that are too strong for when our skin is still at a young age.
    maybe personal preference...?

    I started using eye cream at around 20 and face cream at around 22, i think. It was never a strict part of my regimen, though, and I'd go months at a time w/o using either.

    I'm 28 now. You tell me. Does it look like it's working? LOL

    Haha, thanks! I need to rev up the eye regimen, though. I rub my eyes frequently and it's starting to show signs of wear. Seriously, though, laying off the eye makeup every once in a while should help. Girls I know who'd wear a lot of eye makeup most often tend to get faster wrinkles.

    May I ask which brand(s) you use?

    I never stuck with any particular brands. For the longest time, though, I used the Vitamin A cream and Vitamin E creams from Vitamin World. I'm extremely acne-prone, so I have to make sure they don't break me out and those two didn't but kept me firm and well-moisturized. I also did a green tea mask everyday religiously. A green tea mask is something I recommend for everyone. Do it everyday and you'll start seeing results within the week. Hmm, I should get back on that.

    As for eye creams, even though I did start using them at around 20, it was very seldom. I just used samples I got from department stores ^^;;;

    I agree with Alienman, putting eye makeup on too often or a lot of rubbing can cause your skin to "get old" quicker. I'm not sure about the right age to start putting on anti-aging treatments (image not found), but I think as long as you make a conscious effort to take care of your skin, you shouldn't have to worry too much, at least not for the next several years haha. Keeping your face and eye area moisturized can make a lot of difference too!
