Wow, your grandmother was GORGEOUS.

I don't have pictures on hand to show u guys. My mom was more on the cute side, not really all that pretty :/ but my grandmother had this strange, exotic, western look to her. People used to think she was part white. She was actually quite pretty, though.

Fun fact: In one of her old portrait photos, she looked NOTHING like herself. It turns out that the portrait people had *fixed up* her face to make it look BIGGER and her eyes and nose smaller TO MAKE HER PRETTIER LOL. Isn't that interesting? Nowadays, we do the EXACT opposite!

I've been told that I bear a striking resemblance to my mother.

My mom is the one on the far left. I have the same nose as my aunt (middle).


Me:

An old friend of my parents to whom I was introduced to took one look at me and said, " My wife and I have been trying to have a daughter. We now have 3 sons, and you managed to get a carbon copy!"
lol I don't think I'm her carbon copy, daddy's genes got in the way.
