I have always thought green eyeshadow on almond shaped eyes looked absolutely stunning as it provides a great contrast against our chocolate dark pupils and make our eyes almost cat-like. The trick to this is to extend the shadow beyond the crease so that when you open your eyes, the green will still show. This is even more important if you have mono-lids/no crease. In fact, I believe that bright mettalic colours look awesome on mono-lids as you have a great, unbroken canvas to work with.

Here is my FOTD for the day. Thought I’d give myself a pop of colour as I am feeling a bit miserable with my allergic rash to a fake tanner recently, hence the tiny bumps on chin. Grrrrrrrr.... (sorry the pictures are heavy! x)

The eyeshadow used is B Never Too Busy to Be Beautiful’s Cream Eyeshadow in Beetled. It’s a fabulous shade of dazzling emerald-green, that goes on super smooth, blends super well and dries to a feather light finish with no crease. You can either use it as an eyeliner with the fine tipped brush provided or eye shadow like I have done here, blending it in with a clean eyeshadow brush. I prefer the latter option as it gives more of an impact.

What I used on the eyes:

Eyebrowz brow powder in shade #3004-Soft Black to fill in any sparse areas

Estee Lauder Pure Eye Color in shade Sandbox over entire lid, from lashline to browbone as a primer

B Never Too Busy to Be Beautiful’s Cream Eyeshadow in Beetled, applied from lashline all the way up to crease and beyond it

“Fluff” away at demarcation lines with soft clean eyeshadow brush dipped in a neutral colour (I like to use the same Estee Lauder Sandbox).

Sleek Ink Pot Eye Gel Liner in Dominatrix applied to top and bottom lid. I have also softened the black line on the lower lid by applying a bit of the green eyeshadow on top.

Max Factor Falsh Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara in Black applied to both top and bottom lashes. You can also choose to apply fake eyelashes to the outer corners for that full-on glamour. Please note that these are my own lashes obtained through an eyelash transplant. You can read my review on it here http://www.citygeisha.com/?p=673

Benefit Eye Bright Pencil applied to browbone and inner corners of eyes for that “awake” look

Voila!!!

Very glam. Green always seem to bring out brown eyes.
